I’m an independent freelance commercials director, based in the UK with extensive experience working with some of the best-known brands and agencies.

I work across documentary and commercial styles, with a specialisation on kids and ‘real people’. At the heart of my approach to film-making is a desire to make original films that engage on an emotional level. This approach is anchored by a concentration on storytelling that feeds into every aspect of my work. From script preparation to shot selection and right through to final delivery.

I have a strong background in drama – having previously worked as an actor for 10 years. That influences the way I tell my stories – whether that’s encouraging performances from ‘real people’ or shaping a film to create the perfect dramatic arc.

I love working with big crews, but I’m equally happy trekking up a mountain – just me and the camera.

With 20+ years of experience in editing, I’m always happy to take on the edit as well – working remotely if needed.
