Joe ShawCompanies are increasingly using video as an important communication tool.  Film is a fantastic and engaging medium to get your message across. And that’s where I come in.

I am a director/editor based in the UK and I’m passionate about making films. I have worked in both drama and documentary. My first short film ‘Passing Through’ was selected for various festivals including Raindance and the Manchester International Short film Festival.  Recently, I completed my second short ‘The Echo’, which is viewable on this site.

I aim to make original, truthful films that engage on a much more emotional level than your average corporate and as a result, the feedback I get is excellent.

I can work to any budget requirements, big or small. I have worked for both small charities and large companies like Orange & France Telecom.  I have access to a full crew of talented individuals or can comfortably shoot on my own in a ‘run & gun’ style. For my short film Passing Through I had a crew of twenty, for my films for Raleigh International I trekked alongside the venturers – just me and my camera.

I can deliver the film and advise on the best way to get it up in your website, or help you to produce a DVD for distribution. For EC1 New Deal I did both. I helped them to get the film online and also designed and reproduced several hundred DVD’s. Or if you want to show your film publicly, I can help provide the best screening copy. For Islington Council I produced a film that was played on the big screen at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

As I edit my own films, you will have continuous contact with me throughout a project. Have a look at the testimonials in the clients section of this site to see how beneficial that one to one contact can be.
