Thanks for the comment. I colour corrected using Magic Bullet Looks in After Effects. The slow motion was done in the edit though. By shooting at 50fps on the day I had the option in the edit later to make some of the clips slo-mo.

hi

I am really impressed by the colour and the beauty of this short film.
The plans are brilliantly linked and filmed. Very good job!

Do you have made a colorimetric correction with after effects or else?
Do you use AE for the slow motion effect too?

I would like to know because I am in love to shot short films.
I hope that you will answer my message, even briefly.
I apologize for my English, I'm French.

Have a nice day!

Yes - it probably is. Although you are seeing a compressed version here, which doesn't help.

in out of focus area there is some noise.. Not so beautiful blur. Is it because of the camera codec?

Tony, thanks for your comments. I'm glad you liked it. My plan was to just offer glimpses of the barrier and highlight how the gardens mirrored the forms of it - then to reveal the whole barrier as you described. Pleased you noticed it.

Have updated the post with the music details.

Hi Joe,
That is a really lovely film. Beautiful photography, pacing, color. Really captured the day. I liked how you withheld the full view of the locks until later, accompanied by a music emphasis. Can you tell me what the music was? really beautiful.

I've bought a GH1 recently and hope to create something half as nice- strictly amateur though. I'm shopping for FD primes at the moment and have ordered an adapter. ND filters seem to be the next item.

Anyways, congratulations again for some really exceptional work.

best regards,
