This film was commissioned by Islington Council for their annual managers conference. The brief was to highlight the way in which 3 of their services have benefited residents and to highlight the role of the council in providing these schemes.

The three chosen projects were the EC1 Youth Music Project, the Work Is scheme – that helps people back to work – and a block of flats located in the borough that was extensively renovated in association with Homes For Islington.

I worked closely with the communications team at Islington Council throughout this process – discussing the details of the brief, ensuring their needs and message was clear and could be met effectively.

I met in advance with the interviewees to put them at ease, scouted the locations to choose the best parts to film and shot the footage over the course of a week.

I was able to deliver a rough cut for the communications team to approve and make suggestions. We continued to work together to deliver the final film, which was shown on the big screen at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, and was very well received.
