EC1 Day is a corporate film with a difference. It highlights some of the key achievements of the EC1 New Deal for Communities (NDC) programme. The brief for the film was to present the work of EC1 in an interesting and engaging way. Most importantly, they were keen to break away from the ‘dry’ format that they associated with corporate films and wanted something that told a story.
Working with the team at EC1, I developed the concept of EC1 Day - a passage across the EC1 area which over the course of one day highlights the huge range of the programme’s initiatives.
EC1 NDC is one of 39 NDC partnerships across England, funded by central government to kick start the regeneration of deprived neighbourhoods.
EC1 NDC started its work in April 2001 and has funded and supported hundreds of projects aimed at improving health, education, employment and training, services for young people and the quality of the local environment.
